Future's Archives (Part Two) follows the first instalment in a story about identity, representation, and the richness of the visual realm as a stage for creating, moulding, and exploring subjectivities.
The photography of Marie Deteneuille meets once again the daring styling of Charlene Felder, placing the subject – a 73-year-old ballerina – at the crossroads of her own eccentricities and the various interpretations around corporeal dispositions and sartorial choices. Much like the first part of this series, Future's Archives (Part Two) invites the reader to ponder on the use of image, the capacity for self-knowledge that comes with it, and the role and scope of our dedication to preserve our own histories by the means of visual creation.
