Photographer Joanna Wierzbicka and stylist Daria Wierzbicka present Attempts to, a story that examines the relation between nature and human being with a focus on embodied selves.
The body becomes a separate form in the landscape, goes through different processes of metamorphosis to both merge with or differ from the landscape. The human figure and human-made objects appear in different gradation in their trials to interfere in the landscape. Eventually, they fail, which echoes Francis Bacon's view that all attempts to go beyond nature are forced to be errors.
