The third collection of Parisian label AFTERHOMEWORK features a chromatic scarcity, styled in black, white, and tones of grey, enacting a duality of corporeal presence, fiercely set against a politically charged urban environment.

This collection is inspired by the terrorist attacks in Paris, of last November, an event which deeply touched the label's young designer Pierre Kaczmarek. AFTERHOMEWORK announces the awakening of a young generation, a new wave of empowered individuals, who choose to create, as a way of escaping social violence.

This collection is both absurd and well-structured, as it reflects identity tensions experienced by the contemporary youth – clad in self-confidence, yet profoundly affected by violent events.

Indecision and disequilibrium transpire in the AW'16-17 collection; the subjects are suspended in a critical moment – just after shock, and just before revolt, embracing, however, creative freedom as a form of resistance.
